My dearest weavers of dark tales, allow me to introduce myself: I’m Grim Girl, but you can call me Haleigh. I have both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in English, culminating in over 12 years of experience in reading, writing, and editing. As such, my favorite pastime is manipulating the English language into its most elegant form, whether that be through songs, poems, short stories, or even academic essays. As both a writer and an editor, I have a unique perspective on my authors’ stories that allows me to dive into the reverie of their world without losing sight of the bigger picture.

I understand what a ghastly process editing can be for authors, and while we will kill some of your darlings, we will also breathe life into spaces within your manuscript that are on the very precipice of perishing. The genres I specialize in are fantasy, paranormal fiction, magical realism, and thrillers. When I’m not chained to my laptop, you can find me singing, planning my wedding with my fiancé, playing with our pup, Aldo, or, most likely, hanging around my apartment binge-watching a TV show I’ve seen 30 times already (*cough* Buffy the Vampire Slayer *cough cough*) like the quintessential millennial I am.
